Bras for a Cause Middle East: Deadline for design contest has been extended!

If you've been following my blog, you may know that popular Middle Eastern trendsetting website Fustany is running a campaign for breast cancer survivors called Bras for a Cause Middle East, supporting breast cancer survivors across the region by running a design contest which gives both established designers and the public the chance to design their very own t-shirt and bra and the winning entries will be then produced and sold with the proceeds going to breast cancer charities and organizations across the region. The contest also involves designing special bras which take into consideration women who have had mastectomies and wear prostheses.

As well as winning some amazing prizes, if your entry wins, not only will it be actually manufactured and sold, but it will also be catwalked in one of two upcoming fashion shows in Dubai and Beirut.

The original deadline for the design contest was June 26, 2011 but the kind folks at Fustany have given us all a four day extension - the new deadline is June 30, 2011, 11:59pm GMT and the voting period will be between July 2 and July 12 2011.

So if you are freaking out because you haven't finished or submitted your entry yet, there is still some time left!

To find out more information about the contest, download templates and guidelines, find out about the judges and prizes and submit your entry, visit the Bras for a Cause Middle East website. There is also a fun game where you can design your own virtual bra!

Here are a few of the amazing designers who have submitted entries to the established designers category:
