Keswah: modern jalabiyyahs with a vintage feel

I'm loving the Summer 2013 collection from Emirati label Keswah. Keswah is the fashion baby of three Emirati ladies who put their creative designing skills together to come up with contemporary jalabiyyahs with a retro and vintage feel. Keswah, which is Arabic for clothing, was launched in Summer 2011, and derives its inspiration from traditional Emirati jalabiyyahs. Made from light and breezy Italian cotton, (perfect for this region's sweltering heat), the jalabiyyahs could double for fashionable day dresses. I particularly like the snakeskin jalabiyyah with the neon yellow trimming, it looks more like a modern maxi dress, as well as the green polka dot cropped shoulder dress, which has a retro '50s feel to it.

More of Saudi Arabia's Favorite Sweetheart, Princess Ameerah Al Taweel

One of my first blog posts was on gorgeous Saudi Arabian princess, Ameerah Al-Taweel, and it proved so popular, I decided to do another lookbook collage.

For those of you who haven't heard of her, Princess Ameerah is the thirty-year-old wife of Saudi royal prince (and one of the richest men in the world) Al-Waleed bin Talal. She's the Vice Chairperson of the Al-Waleed bin Talal Foundation and a well-known philanthropist, travelling the world not only to promote her husband's business interests, but also to support all sorts of good causes. She's also a champion of women's rights, and openly spoke about her advocacy for the right of women to drive in Saudi Arabia. To top it all off, she has banging style. What is there to not love about her?
