Everybody's favorite multibrand fashion and lifestyle boutique, s*uce (based in Dubai and with 4 locations in the UAE), is back with its annual "Design a Dress Competition" for 2012/2013! s*uce is encouraging anyone and everyone with the passion and talent for design to enter the competition with the chance of winning an opportunity of a lifetime - that is, the chance to create an entire capsule collection for s*uce!

UNDER YOUR SHEILA! Fall/Winter 2012 Mini Trend: Statement Jewel Earrings
Big, statement, jewel-encrusted earrings are back in a big way and can just look at the catwalk at the likes of Lanvin and Dolce & Gabbana to know it's true. They can jazz up an otherwise ordinary t shirt-and-jeans combo or be the finishing touch to a glamorous evening outfit.

aennis eunis Fall/Winer 2012 Collection
For Fall/Winter 2012 footwear brand aennis eunis, founded by Jordanian footwear designer Anas Younis, has offered up another collection of sculpted marvels.
Younis has used a clever and tricky new technique of leather manipulation that involves folding, pinching and twisting of leather as well as suede and Damascus fabric. As well as the brand's signature calligraphy heels there are also chic ankle boots on offer in a fall/winter perfect palette of gold, teal, burgundy, red, black and platinum.
Now I just need to decide what colour I'm going to get those calligraphy heels in...

Arabesque Sheilas & Abayas - Fall/Winter 2012-2013 Collection
I was really excited to get a look at UAE-based couture abaya label Arabesque Sheila & Abayas ' latest collection for Fall/Winter 2012-2013. As usual Arabesque founder and designer Judith Duriez, who hails from France, incorporated the latest trends into her abaya designs and gave them some Parisian flair. I particularly like the abaya with leather panels and leather sleeves (pictured above) - leather is a big trend this season and on the abaya it looks sleek and almost equestrian!
The full collection has a lot of blue details in the form of prints, chiffon sleeves, satin belts and velvet panels and sleeves - the indigo coloured velvet details were reminiscent of Giorgio Armani's midnight themed couture collection for Fall/Winter 2012. The waist-cinching belts on some of the abayas reminded me of obi sashes on kimonos and big waist-cinching belts are another hot trend this season. Also interesting were zip details that gave the abaya (pictured below) a sporty luxe feel.
